Who Is Your Father? (Part II)

Whenever God wants to adopt, bless, deliver, give rest, reveal divine purpose, settle, liberate, save, or raise a person, a family, or a nation, He uses a specific divine principle: He sends a man to them, or He sends them to a man.

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.” (Ezekiel 22:30)

God is always in search of men He can trust, because He cannot use “just anyone.” When God finds a spiritual leader He can use on your behalf, He engineers circumstances to connect you to that person. God works through men.

Allow God Reveal Your Appointed Covering

God will often speak to you through dreams, inner convictions, and divine prompts to show you who to follow and submit to. He speaks to you directly so you can be fully committed, knowing that you were led by the Holy Spirit rather than manipulated by men seeking a personal following.

However, many believers miss their divine connection because they do not understand what God is saying. When God speaks through a dream, for instance, the enemy may try to steal the memory before morning, or you may wake up remembering the dream without understanding its meaning. Discarding or ignoring these divine signals has caused many to waste precious years in spiritual stagnation.

“For God may speak once, or twice, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds…” (Job 33:14–15; see also Job 20:8)

Keys of Destiny, Rest, and Answered Prayers

When God finds a spiritual leader who can labor to birth the glory of God in you, He hands over the keys of your destiny to them.

He puts the answers to your questions in their mouth, the interpretation of your dreams in their spirit, and rest from your long-standing battles into their hands. The very blessings and breakthroughs you have been praying for are often placed spiritually at their feet.

• When you follow them as they follow Christ, you easily pick up those blessings and walk in authority.
• If you fail to recognize or submit to them, you lock yourself out of blessings that were legally yours to enjoy.
• If you choose to rebel, Scripture warns that you will dwell in “dryland”—a place of spiritual heat, frustration, fruitless labor, unanswered prayers, and demonic harassment.

From Perpetual Infancy to Spiritual Maturity

God commits your spiritual maturity—being conformed into the image of Jesus—into the hands of spiritual fathers. Their assignment is to labor in prayer and instruction until Christ is formed in you (Galatians 4:19).

Refusing to submit to godly authority keeps you as a perpetual spiritual baby. Babies cannot walk in their divine inheritance or fulfill kingdom assignments. God does not discuss adult kingdom business with babies. A baby’s primary responsibility is to sit down, eat, learn, and grow up under care and protection—not to fight advanced spiritual warfare on their own.

Ending the Cycle of Repetitive Battles

Are spiritual battles real? Absolutely. From inherited foundational battles to acquired or projected demonic attacks, spiritual warfare torments many born-again believers.

However, fighting these battles entirely on your own without divine order will only leave you exhausted, wondering if evil powers are stronger than God.

Operating outside the spiritual covering God assigned to you leaves your life exposed to witchcraft, harassment, and spiritual instability. A true spiritual father acts as a nursing mother and a protective shield—feeding, covering, and guarding your soul.

A spiritual father’s seal is recognized in the spirit realm, and even Satan respects divine order. When you locate your assigned covering, humble yourself, and step under that shield, you enter a place of divine rest and victory.

Conclusion

Children are meant to sit, feed, learn, grow, and eventually possess their inheritance. Saying “God alone is my father” while rejecting the human leaders He appoints over your soul is rooted in a misunderstanding of how God works. God works on men through men.

If you have been fighting the same battle for years, praying over the same issue without results, or struggling to fulfill divine purpose, it is time to locate the spiritual covering God has approved for you in this season. Locate your covering, step into divine order, and enter into your rest.
